A History of Huggate Church
by Dr Ruth Beckett
As part of the National Heritage Lottery Funding a History of St Mary’s Church was commissioned. Dr Ruth Beckett has produced a comprehensive, fully illustrated history of our 12th century church and its numerous iterations over time. The book is a delight to read and pulls together the many pieces of history of the church that we have known and reveals new discoveries.
